For the kids...

Jeff and I were talking about how we'd like to decorate the basement. He really wanted one room to be "golf themed". I was trying to think of ways to incorporate golf with my origional decor ideas. Then I came across this and had the greatest idea.



I always wanted to do a chalkboard or magnetic wall for the kids to draw on, since it would be their 'playroom'. I was watching DIY network this weekend and they painted a magnetic wall. But guess what?! You could paint the wall with the magnetic paint and then paint any color over top of it so it didn't look like a huge black wall!! How fun!!

Jeff and I talked about this idea and we decided we are going to paint a big 'golf course' similiar to the one above on the wall. Just the landscape, with the greens and ponds. I also suggested we add a 'club house' too-for a girl! Then I am going to find some golf cart, player, ball, club, etc magnets so they can play with them on the wall! They can pretend the little golfers are golfing or hanging in the club house or whatever! Cute idea huh?! Granted, we need to get all our other projects done but I think this is a great idea for a playroom.
