The bad and the ugly....

Since I blog about everything, especially the GOOD I thought I better tell you guys about the BAD and UGLY too :-(. First...the bad. G and I woke up from a nice nap this morning. I put her on the floor for tummy time while I made her bottle. When I came back into the living room she had a huge cut on her face! It goes from her eye to her lip and was bleeding slightly. I immediately started freaking out (in my head, of course). It looks like a cat scratch so I looked for the cats, they were still sleeping in our bedroom. I put G in the jumperoo and picked up all her toys, looking for a sharp object. Nothing. I got out the vacuum and started vacuuming....and found the culprit. You see, this year was our first year with a real tree. I never realized how dirty these things are! There on the rug was an inch long wood splitter. I'm guessing G picked it up and scratched herself. I've been putting bacitracin (my favorite thing ever) on it and it's alot better all ready. But, needless to say I feel like a terrible mom and we'll be staying in the house until it heals! Now for the ugly... G and I have both been sick with a nasty cold for about a week. On Monday G woke up with a rash on her back so I took her to the doctor. It's just a viral rash from being sick and nothing to worry about. Today it is getting worse by the hour! It's all over her back, arms, butt, head, face! Poor baby! Her back is the worse...here's a picture. My poor sweets is having a very rough day :-( Through it all those she's happy as a clam and just wants to play with momma and cuddle. I'm fine with that!! :-)

It's okay!! I know how completely awful you feel, but G is going to get bumps and bruises, and you are a good mom who was there to take care of it - that's what matters. And baby skin heals SO fast! And Kyler had fifths disease when he was little... looks like thats what G has? think of all the GOOD things you did for her today... I'm sure that list is much MUCH longer ;)

looks like fifths disease too, just a viral thing that the doctors don'e even treat. Be prepared for many rashes!
