G is 2 weeks old!

Gianna was 2 weeks old yesterday...the time has seriously flown by! Feels like just last weekend we were in the hospital with her. She is doing good-working on sleeping for 4 hours straight during the night, which is great! She had her 2-week check up yesterday and is finally back up to her birth weight...weight 7lbs12oz! She seems so much bigger than that-I can't believe how much she has grown in the last couple weeks.


We've enjoyed quite a few outings the last few weeks too...just small errands, of course-I'm not sure I'm ready to take her on any low outtings yet! We've been to Target, the mall, Hyvee...I think this weekend we will do our big monthly grocery shopping trip (with dad of course!) so hopefully she behaves! Today we went on our first walk too, she slept through the whole thing. I had her in our Bumbleride stroller, usually I put her in the car seat that fits in the Bumbleride, but she really liked just laying flat instead of being in her car seat. We've also learned that sometimes, G just wants her alone time. Sometimes she will get fussy and guess what calms her down? Just letting her lay under her play mat or in crib by herself...sometimes she doesn't want to be held or bounced or swung...sometimes she just wants to chill out!

I honestly can't image life without her, she is so amazing. It's awesome to see Jeff with her-she's quite the daddy's girl. He does have a bad habit of playing with her from 8-9pm and then I can't get her to sleep because she's soo awake! She's just perfect and I can't wait to see what the next days,weeks and year bring us :-)

I'm doing good too....I'm only 5lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Of course, this is great but I still need to lose another 10 after the 5lbs. My body has really changed though...especially my poor boobs. They aren't as cute as they used to be and these stupid nursing bras do nothing for them....they look like mom boobs :-( So if anyone has found a miracle nursing bra-that's underwire free and push up-please fill me in!!
