Wow, being a mommy is a little harder than I expected :-) Well, not hard I guess but she just keeps me busy. We've been home for 3 days I barely have time to get myself ready or do laundry! But I know it will get easier and for now, I don't care. I just cuddle her and love her as much as I can!
Jeff is doing amazing and honestly, I'm so scared to do this on my own on Thursday when he goes back to work. He is such a huge help!
I'm still working on the story of after delivery-more for me to remember than for my readers, but like I said, I don't have much time right now but maybe tomorrow I'll have time to do it :-)
So our biggest challenge so far is breastfeeding. My milk just came in today (yes-I look like I had a boob job) so Friday and Saturday Gianna pretty much nursed 24/7 and was never satisfied. Finally on Sunday we gave her formula-just an ounce and she slept for 3 hours straight! We did some research and some trial/error with pumping/nursing and learned she wasn't getting enough milk. Plus she wasn't having enough poopy/wet diapers. Today we had a pedi appointment and the Dr. confirmed she probably wasn't getting enough food :-( So for now I breastfeed G for 15 minutes on each side, then Jeff feeds her a bottle of pumped milk (1-2 ounces) while I pump for another 15. On Thursday we have another weight check to see how she's doing but I can already tell she's doing better, she sleeps more during the day and doesn't want to nurse constantly! I cried so much on Sunday because I felt so bad, but things are going much better now!
And a gross lil story-I won't get into details but I found out that Dr.Gisi, the delivering doctor left gauze inside my whooha. I saw it the other day and then noticed a smell-I had Jeff check and he thought it was gauze too. Called my OB's cell (wasn't about to talk to Dr.Gisi about it!) and he asked if I could take it out-so Jeff carefully pulled it out. It was a golf ball size piece of gauze. It was freakin gross. Dr.M was appalled this happened but said everything should be fine, yada yada. So there's a gross lil story for you....definitely will never see that OB again!
Hm...I think that's all for now. Below is a link to some pictures on Facebook and hopefully I'll add more soon! Gianna is growing fast...she tries to hold her head up alot and since day 1, loves to hold her pacifier-even when it's not in her mouth! She loves to sleep with her hands by her head too-which is soo cute. Oh and she's a daddy's girl. She loves to sleep on his chest all squished up! Sleep is going good-I have a hard time sleeping though because I just want to watch her. I'm so terrified of SIDS, especially since a coworker lost her little one not too long ago from it. So I wish I could just watch her 24/7 but I just need to relax!
Oh wait-one more funny story. Our pedi told us to put a rectal thermometer in Gianna to help get her poo out. So we got home from the appointment, take off G's sleeper and are sitting there contemplating how to do it. We didn't want to but didn't want her to be in pain either....then all of sudden she pooped-everywhere! lol. It was on the blanket, her onesie, sleeper....it was terrible!! We died laughing thinking about how she was probably thinking "Ugh...you want to stick that where? Geez-I'll just poop for ya!"
So anyway...there's a few random updates for ya!! Enjoy the pics and I'll keep you guys updated as much as we can!

cute stories, glad you're keeping us updated! That is so gross about the gauze! I can't believe that happened! Good thing you noticed it before you ended up with an infection!
LOL your so sweet! Faith is 8 months old and I think I have " gotten myself ready" maybe 3 times LOL the business never ends!
Keep telling yourself you will get more time to do things. Hold on to that I still am.
