7 weeks

I'm writing this post before I go out to Eclipse....this will be my first time away from Gia (other than 2 one-hour doctor appointments)! I'm excited and nervous, Jeff will be taking care of her so I hope she behaves!!

This week she has been smiling! I've seen a few before but didn't know if they were real (and I was starting to worry my babe was unhappy because every one's little ones were smiling already). On Monday I spent about an hour playing with her, she was smiling soo much! I finally got a picture with my phone so I could send it to Jeff. Then today Jeff got home and was playing with her and she smiled a ton for him-SO CUTE!

She's doing pretty good on head control. No idea when they should be holding up their head but she'll hold it up when we hold her against our chest, and move it side to side during tummy time (which she hates) but that's about it. I'm sure soon enough she's be a big girl and hold it up all the time!

We also started cloth diapering a bit this week...it's going soo well! The one size diapers are still a bit bulky on her and I can't seem to find a good gdiaper insert (that doesn't cost an arm & a leg) but we still like it :-) Plus, it costs us nothing-other than laundry soap and water-so that's good! After going through 400 diapers in 6 weeks I'm glad we decided to use cloth!!

In mommy world it looks like I may be getting an SUV!! Probably a Saturn Outlook but we haven't decided yet...something with a 3rd row so it lasts us for many years (once we have another babe just 2 rows won't be enough!). Jeff wants (yes-I said wants) to trade his truck in and just get a little car to drive to and from work...then trade my car in for an SUV! I told him I wasn't going to force him to do anything and if he wants to trade his truck that's his decision-I would feel waaay to bad asking him to do that! But he wants to get a pimpin SUV to drive his lil family around in...I kinda like that idea so I'm not complaining :-) haha He says the SUV needs to be black or pearl so he'll feel cool driving it-haha
