5 weeks!

To start....here's a picture of my hubby aka Mr.Mom. haha He says he's ready to go to the zoo!! (We're actually going on Sunday for Father's Day & to Huhot-which will be interesting with G now!)

I just realized I never posted pictures of G at 4 weeks and a month! So they are below :-)

4 weeks!
One Month!

5 weeks!

We started Prevacid on Monday and I pretty sure it's a fluke but G is back to her normal self today! She didn't sleep very good last night because of her AR but today she has been the happiest baby ever! Currently-she is laying (FLAT!) on her playmat and staring at her faces book while I pump. Today is a fabulous day!!

So...here's some updates on G from the last week:

*She had her first playdate with Lucas (born 9 days after her!) Luke's mom is a friend of mine and a life safer. We barely knew each other before getting pregnant but once we found out we were due days apart we've become good friends. She keeps me sane and helps me to realize that all is normal and ok :-) I don't know what I'd do without her! We are constantly asking each other questions, comparing baby info, etc-she's amazing :-)

*G and I try to have 1-2 days a week when we do nothing but cuddle and watch movies...I love this picture of us! It was raining so we made it a cuddle day :-)

*I've learned that she LOVES for me to hold her and bounce on the excersice ball! If she is ever a bit fussy I just sit on there and bounce and she calms down in seconds.

*Sunday in the tub she followed her octopus toy with her eyes! I don't know at what age they start to follow toys but this is a first for her! We tried to get it on camera but the battery was dead-dangit!

*I can't nurse her anymore so currently I'm exclusively pumping. It's just soo hard to nurse her and keep her upright to prevent the acid reflux. It sucks but it's working and she's getting fed-that's the important part!

*She slept better on Monday night and I'm hoping it's because we got her the FP Rock n Play Sleeper. It's like a bouncer seat, but tested to be ok to sleep through the night in. She slept super good in it and if I wake up to her fussy, I just reach out and rock it and she falls back to sleep!

*G has been giving us peaks of smiles! She smiles when she sleeps involuntarily-but now she's starting to smile a tiny bit when we talk to her. Tonight when Jeff put her to bed she was half asleep-he kissed her good and said I love you...then she opened her eyes and smiled at him, than went back to sleep. How stinkin cute is that?!

*A scary thing that G does (I think from her AR) is that she'll hold her breath/stop breathing when she eats. We have to take the bottle out and burp her so she'll take a huge breath of air. AH! Scary!!

*We love to nap together. Usually once a day I remove all the pillows/blankets from the bed and we cuddle and sleep together. At first I wasn't ok with bedsharing, but I love it for naps. She's soo cuddly and we both sleep really good :-)

*Gianna is more like her dad every day. Here's some stuff we found that is just like him: Her forehead/hair line. I know this sounds weird but Jeff has an indent where is forehead ends and G has it too. She has his 2 cowlicks in the back of her head. She has his lips and chin and eyebrows.

* Last week at her appointment she weighed 9bs4oz (with her clothes and wet diaper on) and I measured her on her playmat (it has a measuring thing on it) and she measured between 23-24 inches all stretched out!

I think that's it for now :-) Off to bed now-hopefully a good night's sleep and tomorrow G and I can enjoy the nice weather outside and do some gardening :-)

I'm just curious what kind of stroller you ended up getting for baby G? I am doing all kinds of research on strollers and car seats right now and would like to hear your thoughts on yours.
Thanks,
Rachel

Rachel- We got the Bumbleride Flyer (used off craigslist because we didn't have $400 for a new one!) I really like it but I don't know if it's worth a whole $400. It's very spacious but that's also kind of a pain because that means the stroller is huge! We got the Chicco Keyfit car seat (it fits on the stroller with an adapter)-we got the car seat because it's got the highest safety ratings. Let me know if you have more questions :-)
