Today we had our monthly ultrasound with Dr.Drake-our perinatologist (high risk ob). Everything went super great! The ultrasound was really short which made me sad...I could watch her all day long! Little G was holding onto her feet with her hands...very cute :-) We got a good 3D profile pic though!!! The front view was a little blurry because she still doesn't have alot of fat on her face but the profile view is great!! She's got some super chubby cheeks...pretty sure we have the cutest kid ever! Jeff even told the cats that their baby sister was beautiful. Lol. We'll see what they think of her when she's born!
Dr.Drake said everything is going really well. The umbilical cord and placenta are the same and G's growth is great! She weighs in at 2lbs and around 13 inches long....putting her in the 52 percentile for weight :-) I've gained 14, YES-that's another 3-4 lbs that I put on this week-but Dr.Drake was extremely happy with my weight gain. Jeff told her he force feeds me....which is soo true. He's always making me food and encouraging me to eat more, even when I'm not hungry!!
Gianna kicks allllll night long and is super active in the evening. We often lay on the couch and just watch her move around in there. My belly button is just about gone and I'm starting to get that dark line :-( I don't really want it but it's still super light and only from my belly button down so that's good!!
This week we are finishing up some touches on the nursery. Our baby shower is about a month away and I can't wait! I'm excited to get some stuff checked off our registry and to see all my family! Jeff's mom is making the 4 hour trip down too-so excited for that! It's been almost 2 1/2 years since she's been to Des Moines so we're pretty excited to show her all we've done to the house :-)
So far pregnancy is still great.....the weeks creep by though. Especially time at work, I have a hard time concentrating because all I can think about is that I wish it was May! haha. Jeff always says he wishes she was here and how he can't wait for me to send him pictures of her while he's at work and can't wait for his daddy days. I just can't wait to be a mommy and kiss those chubby little cheeks!! Less than 14 weeks to go.....that's 97 days? And only about 65 days left of work!

i had the craziest linea nigra with Oliver - it started several inches above my belly button, curved around to the left and then went straight down below my belly button. with this pregnancy i don't have one at all!
When you are pregnant the weeks go by so slow and then when the baby comes they go by so fast!
