She's a....

SHE! Haha. Little G is still a very hyper, beautiful, stubborn little girl :-) I had some OJ for breakfast because I heard it can wake them up and help them to stay moving for the ultrasound tech. Well...this little girl was bouncing all over the place ALL morning! The ultrasound took about 1.5hours because she was moving so much but it was amazing!

We had another student do most of our ultrasound and she was amazing!! She was super sweet and really worked with our little girl not wanting to show all her parts. She would talk to G and say,"Come on sweetie, more your hand for me!" Haha. She was so nice. Then the u/s tech came in checked the measurements. We learned baby is 8 ounces (my weekly updates say she should weigh around 7 ounces) so all looks good! She measured 2 days ahead at 18 weeks 2 days. All her measurements look great. The u/s tech did say that the umbilical cord is attached to the side of the placenta instead of the middle. Basically since the cord isn't attached in the middle they want to see me back once a month to check for growth. I guess the placement of the cord can cause a decrease in bloodflow/etc which could have little G growing more slowly. However, right now she is measuring perfect and looks great so we just pray that continues! The u/s tech says most times it just means we'll have a little girl-around 6/7lbs. I'm waiting for a call from my OB but I'm guessing the monitoring is to check for growth-if she isn't growing at our later ultrasounds then maybe they'll induce me early? Who knows-we'll see what Dr.M says!!

After the ultrasound we registered, which was exausting!! Holy cow I was so overwelmed! I researched all the big stuff like car seat/pnp/bouncer/swing/ etc but the little things got me. I know I want to use Dr.Brown's bottles but then came all the nipples and sizes and kinds! Yikes! I don't know if we got everything on there but I figure we can update the stuff online :-) We're going to register at Target after the holidays.

After registering we went to the mall and got baby G a super cute Hurley outfit :-) I'll post pics of that later. Now I'm exhausted and think I need a nap! haha.
