Etsy Purchases

Etsy is going to get me in trouble ;-) I've been bored the last couple nights and started looking on Etsy for ideas for some cute baby items to make. Bad idea!! I learned if you searched 'sale' that it brings up all the items on sale-which means great deals!!!

I ended up getting 3 stretch crocheted headbands for $6, including shipping! I got black,white and brown. I've been looking for them at Target & Walmart but no luck. I'm pretty proud of my find-what a great deal! And I'm helping a SAHM mom :-)

I plan to sew some big flowers/bows/etc on alligator clips that I have. Then, I can just clip the alligator clip to the headband. That way I can have tons of different styles and colors of clips and only have to buy one headband :-)

Next I purchased this applique for $2, including shipping. An etsy seller was going out of business and I thought it was a great deal. I want to make some onesies with appliques on them and matching baby legs. I thought it would be cute for summer to dress up a onesie and keep her a little warm too! Below is a pic of the applique I bought. I really love the owl and thought I could make an awesome pair of yellow & black baby legs to match!

And for those who don't know what baby legs are-here's a pic I found off the internet. Now, their onesies don't match their baby legs so of course, mine will be much cutuer ;-)




And last......... This item wasn't on sale but it was a great deal! We need more stuff in the nursery to make it more 'fun' and not so boring. I didn't want to do a mobile because in some of my baby books it says they can be a choking hazard once the baby is mobile. (They can pull it down and strangle themselves-yes, yes, I know-very unlikely but still). So I decided to buy some awesome tissue pom pom's to hang above the nursery.

Here are the ones I ordered-only I swapped out the pink for purple. Only $15 :-)




And here's a pic of a nursery with the pom poms used as a mobile. Pretty cute? I thought so!
