Wow, life has been busy! I don't even know where my days go. Jeff said the other day how we no longer have any 'down' time to just sit and chill! However, I wouldn't change it for the world. Any no, I haven't changed my mind about wanting 2 more little ones some day :)
Here's some facts about C at 3 weeks (these will probably bore you, it's more for me to remember!)
*Cora was jaundice her first week but after 3 blood draws we are in the clear!
*She weighed 9lbs6oz at 2 weeks and now weighs about 10lbs4oz and fits perfectly into 3 month clothes!
*She usually wakes up on her own every 3 hrs to eat and when bottle fed she takes about 3-3.5oz!
*Cora loves to sleep in her swing for the first part of the day, but towards afternoon and evening she prefers to be held...thanks goodness for the Moby wrap!
*Cora is a spitter upper but only seems bothered by it occasionally. She does seem a bit sensitive to dairy so I've taken dairy (and most chocolate) out of my diet since I'm nursing.
*Cora is a happy baby! She does fuss more for daddy than me and usually is crying or fussing for a solid hour each night and then sleeps until about 1am. After 1 she wakes every 3hrs to eat but prefers to be held instead of sleeping in her Rock n Play!
*She's a very gassy baby (mostly due to my forceful let down) so gripe water is our best friend!
*Cora is such a snuggler. I love to just sit and hold her while G naps or is at preschool.
*gianna loves to lay under the play may with Cora. Cora loves to watch G talk to her!
*gianna loves being a big sister, but of course this has been a big adjustment for her! We've learned to praise her a ton when she's been a good listener and sweet/gentle to her sister and ignore her when she's being naughty to get attention.
*Gianna loves to help us change Cora, give her the paci, etc. Gianna will even take my extra pump cones and pretend to pump while I pump ;)
*G also loves to hold my hand while I nurse her sister.
*gianna loves to hold Cora, especially 'chest to chest' like she sees Jeff and I do.
I just love watching my girls together. It's so sweet and makes my heart just swell with love for them. Cora fits so perfectly into our family, it's like she's always been here. I can't image life without her!
It hasn't always been easy, we have some very rough days, but I couldn't be happier or more thankful for what God has given us!
