Copy Cat

I saw this top at Target and thought it was so cute (for G). This momma loves anything with ruffles. While I debated whether I spend the $10 bucks and buy it, I thought-I could make this top! And I did....or atleast, something similiar.

I took an old long sleeve plain tee of mine that had shrunk and just didn't fit right anymore. I didn't have a pattern so I kind of sewed by the seat of my pants. It didn't turn out perfect (a big oops is that I sewed the ruffles on the sleeves seam side out-but I figured it look ok and kept it that way). Overall, it was really easy and only took me one afternoon nap (aka 1 hr). Here's my replica... (I took the picture with my phone, so the colors a bit off. It's more of a plum purple.)

I'm hoping to make a better version and do a tutorial soon! Happy Hump Day!
