New Year's Resolutions...

I'm terrible at keeping New Year's Resolutions but this year my blog (and blog readers!) are going to keep me in check! Here's my list:

1.) Put more money in savings each month. We have an ok amount of savings, but I'd really like more. Dave Ramsey says to only have $1k in savings until you have all your debt paid off but that just doesn't seem like enough, so I plan to do a bit more.

2.) Pay more toward our student loans! We make our payment monthly but I want to pay MORE towards them a month. I'm going to start a ticker on the side of my blog. It will track the extra money we put towards our student loans. I'm hoping if I see this in numbers it will make me want to put all our extra $ towards SL so we pay them off sooner!

3.) Drink 64oz of water a day and cut back to 2-3 pops a week. Yes, I'm going to quit drinking Diet Coke! Jeff's aunt told us on Christmas that diet pop makes you think you are hungrier than you are, which makes alot of sense because I always feel hungry when I drink diet pop! So I'm going to try to quit-wish me luck...

4.) Cook more dinners and make them HEALTHY! I've been bad about cooking dinner at night and now it's even harder because Jeff has a new job. He meets with clients alot at night so he'll work during the day, come home in the afternoon and then leave again for appointments at night. I actually like this better because in the afternoon is always when I want him home :-) Anyway-so that makes it hard to cook dinner because sometimes I'll only be cooking for myself. However, G can start eating table food so I need to start cooking and making it as healthy as possible.

Hm...I think that's all. Pretty regular resolutions but hopefully I actually keep them. We'll see :-)
