Nothing much

I don't have much to update on, but thought I should post something happy because the last 2 posts have been so sad! Let's see....

We're going to texture the basement next weekend! Yah!! We still have to work on the ceiling in the 'playroom' but otherwise the walls are done. Then comes trim, paint and doors. I can't believe it's almost done. I'm so excited! Our goal is August 1st and I really think we can do it.

Last night we went out for Angie's 26th birthday. It was so much fun and nice to go out with my amazing friends. We had a little shopping spree for Shawna with her moms cc at Dress Barn, found her some great new clothes. Then to HuHot for dinner for Angie. Shawna also gave me her two boppy pillows, score! I love free baby stuff!

We're having a garage sale too in July. We (my friends and I) decided we have crap we should get rid of. Hopefully, I'll find some more good baby bargains but we'll see. I've pretty much already cleaned them out. haha

We also went and looked at a new housing development in DeSoto. I love the area. It's perfect. Beautiful homes around a lake with a walking trail, playground, 20 minutes from Des Moines, Adel School district. Ahh... However, I wasn't impressed with the builder. There was some 'unfinished' items in the finished homes that didn't really meet my standards but that doesn't mean we couldn't buy a lot of land and hire our own builder. Of course, this isn't going to happen in the next month or so, but possibly year or two. The development just started and there's only a couple homes out there right now, so no rush for us. Such a beautiful area though!

PS-I'll also update later with my sister's wedding pictures. My computer is broken so we're waiting to get that fixed and I'll update about the wedding!! It was a blast and Mel looked soooo beautiful! Sniff Sniff
