Happy Early Anniversary!

I know, our two year anniversary isn't until July 7th, but I gave Jeff his present early! A black Nissan Titan! We planned on buying Jeff a truck in August, but he called on Monday to say he found 'the perfect truck' aka a nice truck way out of our price range! After many failed attempts working with dealers I thought our only hope would be a FSBO. We ended up at Dewey Ford on Monday night, the sales lady was incredibly nice and we explained to her that we were only willing to pay $xx,xxx for the truck. I just didn't want any bigger payments and if they couldn't work with us than we'll keep looking. She went to talk to her director, who ended up being Chris Glenn-a guy we knew and sold us our grand prix! He was really amazing and worked with us alot. He ended up taking $3,750 off the price!! The truck is almost fully loaded with the crome package. Jeff is in love and I'm in love with the price. We really need to get running boards because it's hard for me to get into the truck, and will definatly be hard when I'm pregnant.



Hannah and I also made the trek, through the rain, to the Neal Smith Wildlife refuge! It was lots of fun even though we thought a turnader was gonna get us!! The rodeo was a good time and Farmer's Market was a bust! We ended up going around 10:30, way too late. It's was incredibly hot and humid and packed! We left early and headed to 'the farm' to see my family. It was bittersweet to see my parents with Avery. They loved having him around and playing, but I also know they want a grand baby. :-( In due time...

I didn't get any work on the house done. We're planning on working Saturday on the basement again but I don't know how much we'll be able to get done! Then, Sunday we are helping with a puppy transfer! Basically what has happened is a center closed down in KC and instead of putting the dogs/cats to sleep they are being transfered to "No-Kill" shelters in MN. A friend of mine did this a few weekends ago and she told me about the one on Sunday. I'm very excited. I will be transporting 3 dogs from Des Moines to Clear Lake. I got pics of the pups and they are all too cute!! I really want to take one, Elf, home with me! haha There are 33 dogs being transfered, I talked 2 of my coworkers into driving also!
