Now I'm just waiting for May to start planting my plants! Saturday we went to my parents to paint easter eggs and then went to church. First-I have to say I love my church. It's the first one I've been to where I'm excited about going and leave feeling moved and excited. Every 4-5 weeks there's a new session. For example, there was one on "Live like you were dying", "How to be Rich", etc. Well-over the next 4 weeks were talking about Parenthood. I'm really excited because I hope it helps me to learn to be a better mother someday. Last Saturday's service was amazing, my favorite part was where they talked about how "bums" stand on the side of the road with card board signs with their life story written on it. If we were to write our life story on it, what would it say? The front would be our life before finding Jesus, the back would be after. People's signs read things like "Unfaithful to God and my Family" on the front and "Forgiven and saved by Him." on the back. The best one for me was the drummer's who's said "Never thought I'd be a daddy." on the front and "Father to Cheyene ____ ___." on the back. I burst into tears and that one, it touched me so much and hurt at the same time. I know my description doesn't do the service just, but I'm waiting for the video to upload to the website (pogpod.com) where you can watch all the church's services online! I'll post it when they do. Jeff was even a little teary-eyed after all those people walked by with their life story written on the cardboard boxes. It was amazing to read what He can do for you!
*side note: you can check out some awesome 'cardboard testimony' on youtube.com. Not from my church by others. I really encourage you to watch them, they are really amazing!
Enough of my braggin about our church! Easter Sunday was great! My parents hosted Easter, consisting of about 50 people (about half being children!) and they even gave horse back rides!! I'll post a link to the pictures once I upload them...theres a TON!
Here's a link..
I've decided my goal is to have April/May be my most productive months! I have a huge list of all the things I'd like to get done...I'll keep you updated on what we do! I just want to keep myself as busy as possible! It's keeps my mind from wondering about being a mommy... :-)
Speaking of becomig a mommy, last week Dr.C found something else wrong with me! I have to take Provera every couple months to induce a period. (Even though we're not TTC, if you don't have a period it increases your chance of cancer, etc. ) Anyway-so I took my provera like usual and I usually get a period within 2-3 days. Well...a week or so when by and nothing! I called Dr. Cooper thinking it wouldn't really matter. Wrongo!! Turns out my Estrogen is so low in my body I now get to take Estrogen supplements! (Including the progesterone!). He thinks maybe I just need a little boost and the D&C messed with my horomones even more. I guess we'll see what happens, I have to go in for more bloodwork next month. My body is a basket case!! Oh well, some way, some how I will be a mommy and Jeff will be a daddy and all this nonsense will be 100% worth it!
Last but not least I got some exciting news this week!! Our house was assessed $7,000 higher than last year!! GREAT, huh?! Not so much....It turns out we now get to pay $19 more a month on our mortgage for taxes! I know $20 won't hurt us but it still makes our payment higher which I hate. The good news is that means our development is increasing in value and not decreasing! Plus, that doesn't include the updates we've done-it just shows that our property is worth more per square foot :-) For some reason people love the charm of Beaverdale...
