The whole procedure was soo easy! I was more scared of being put out...how I'd feel, etc. Well the laughing gas relaxed me a ton and like the last surgery I had, I was out before I knew it and woke up remembering nothing! I got a shake and attempted to eat some fries, then we went home and fell asleep on the coach until 2! I woke up and Jeff was going to Menards so I tagged along. We ended up getting a tree branch pruner, hatchet, 2 plastic gardening pots, spray paint, and of course-more mouse for the kitties! We looked at a hammock, hopefully we'll get one soon so we can lay outside this summer!
Well, we set right to work when we got home. Jeff cut down some branches that were hanging low in the front yard. (and cut them up to use for roasting marshmellows this summer!) We also rehung the star which blew off in the rain storm this week. I spray painted the cheapo plastic pots, which were $2.99 each and they look amazing!! I just didn't want to spend $23.99 a pot since I wanted 5 total. I'm planning on setting two on our front steps and 3 in the rock bed on the side of our driveway. Here's photo of my pretty and cheap flower pots...(w/o my flowers of course!) I'm thinking about planting hydrangea's in them but haven't decided yet for sure.

Then, Jeff used his hatchet to dig up a small tree that was growing against our fence. We then ripped up the other weed patch beside our patio. I think we're going to plant some grass seeds (Thanks to my dad we are getting the seed, grass and dirt free since he owns a lawn care business!) Hopefully next summer we are going to lay more concrete in this area to extend our patio but we'll see what happens. Here's the before pic..tomorrow we're getting the rest of the stuff to seed and everything...
Then...for some odd reason the old owners planted peonie bushes smack dab in the middle of the yard. I started to dig them up and realized the roots were sooooo long!! Jeff ended up helping and we had to dig atleast a foot down just to dig up all the roots. I'm hoping and praying they don't come back and we can actually get grass here now. Honestly this section looked like a grave was dug and peonies were planted over it...creapy huh?
We're planning on extending the veggie/fruit garden this year so I can plant more stuff this year. My green pepper and tomato plants are growing really well inside! I also plan on doing green beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, watermelon, and cucumbers. Here's a picture of the whole back yard. I'm planning on doing a rock wall and planting some perennials beside the garage. Any ideas on what flowers to do?

Tomorrow we're going in search of a new, fancy kitchen faucet. Ours is plain and leaking pretty bad so it's about time. Yesterday I cleaned our white porcelain sink...it looks amazing now! I had tried filling the sick with bleach/water, magic eraser, soap, etc and nothing work. So I used Clorox kitchen cleaner and scrubbed it down with a magic eraser and now it looks soo good! I used Goof Off to get some drops of junk off the sink and grouting. Here's a before/aftr pic. All the marks are from our metal pots/pans which leave marks. Please don't judge my house by this pic-It's honestly not this gross! lol The sink is just badly stained!!
(Before and after sinks....) I'll add a picture tomorrow with the faucet!

I'm glad everything went well. You are super woman! My hubby got one wisdom tooth out today and he's been a big baby all day. :P
I think you may have been more productive than I am on a normal day!
Glad you were able to recover quickly :-)
