Girl Scout-Daisies!

Guess what?! Next fall I'm going to be a Girl Scout leader to some kindergarden's in Urbandale! Ok, it's not set in stone but a girl from the Nest told me they always needed leaders, and since I wanted to do some volunteering, thought it would be a great idea! She works at the Girl Scouts and is sending me the packet of info so I can fill it out and get signed up! Plus, another girl from The Nest, Kelley, is going to be the leader with me so I'll actually know who I'm working with. I'm soo super excited!

I've really been wanting to do some volunteering and I think this will be fun. I may still look into being a Big Sister to someone... but we'll see how busy I stay with all this :-) Anyway, just wanted to update you all. Have a fabulous day!

OH-PS-Forgot to tell you guys we're having someone (Jeff's friends dad), who is a contractor, come and work on drywall/mudding the basement!! He is coming May 23rd!!! I told him I'd love for the basement to be done by August so that's the plan. I'm excited, finally we will have a family room and toy room (for our phantom children, of course!). Bad news is that in the 'toy room' the ceiling will only be 6'5" (or less!)...we have pipes running across the ceiling and we can't move or change them, so the ceiling will be really low in one room and about 7 foot in the other. We'll just have to sell our house to some short people :-)
