Babycenter: New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
The Nest:Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.
I can't believe Ducky is already so big..and has legs/arms that move!! Crazy! I can't wait to see that on the ultrasound :-) I told Jeff we should bring our videa camera and tape the u/s so everyone can see Ducky moving around!! He thinks I'm crazy...but I don't care! So, far I feel pretty good. The girls, of course, hurt like heck and I feel naseous alot when I eat, but only for about 30 minutes or so... Oh, cravings include Kraft Mac & Cheese (which I hated beforehand) and pickles. I've also started to like hard-boiled eggs and root beer...lol.
My New Year's Resolution is to drink 100 ounces of water everyday and walk every other day on the treadmill for half hour. I know, they're not that hard but I figured I better make easy ones so I'd stick to them :-) My NY's Resolution for Jeff is to get the basement finished...we'll see if that happens. lol
