Fall & Christmas Wreaths

I haven't blogged lately...well atleast on this blog. My baby one continues to update all the time :-) Anyway.... Jeff is tailgating at a football game all day/night so I had some time to do some crafting. I got a few ideas for some wreaths on some crafting blogs and decided to try to make a few.

First..I tried a ribbon wreath. It didn't turn out all that great...maybe I need to add more ribbon. I bought a wire wreath at HL for $2.49 and some ribbon for $4. All you do is tie the ribbon onto the wreath. Pretty easy, huh? Here's mine on my front door. (Don't ya love our neighborhood watch sticker?! I'm sure it's origional from our 1950's house!)(The wreath looks like it's made out of dollar bills here..haha! Just green sparkly ribbon)

However, my next wreath I made, I LOVE! It's so fabulous, if I do say so myself :-) I picked about a sack full of pinecones, all sizes, from the trees at work. I bought a stick wreath for $2.47 at HL, lots of glue sticks, and I had some fabric laying around at home.

Here's my during and after pics. Basically you just glue the pinecones onto the wreath. It took about about an hour/hour and a half to make it. Then I just added some fabric to add some color. I really like how it turned out, and how it pretty much works for fall and winter :-) So fabulous and beautiful!
