A great day...

Today was a great relaxing day and I'm excited for another one tomorrow! I cleaned the house this morning after the guys left. It was quite a mess but they got a ton done in the basement so I'm happy! Then took a little snooze, Jeff and I grilled out corn on the cob and meatloaf and then played some frizbee in the yard. Jeff's finishing up the dishes and then we're going to to watch My Bloody Valentine in 3D.

Here's the pictures you've all been waiting for! The basement! The two rooms are done except for a few touches up on mud and some sanding, then we're ready for texture! I'm so excited, we may actually have this all done before August! Yah!

Here's the staircase before and after drywall...

The stairs will be done in wood. I was going to do carpet but since the door is right there I figured the carpet would get extremely dirty on the stairs so we're going with wood!

Here's into the laundry room...the second picture is a little close up but you get the idea. We did a corner door that will open into the 'play room' to give us more room in the laundry/bathroom.

This room will be the play room for our kids.

In the picture below you can see the pipes in the ceiling. We have yet to decide what we'll do with the ceiling. We need something that will go around the pipes, can't drywall over them or the ceiling would only be about 6 foot! Eak! If we go around the pipes then we'll just paint the pipes white to blend in with the ceiling.

The living room looks the same as this room, just the ceiling done! That will be the family room. We also have a storage room in the back that will be left unfinished for storing all our junk!
