makeover for me

Hm..where to start? Well, like my new pic? Jeff and I just got back from a date night! My new dentist sent me a $20 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory so we decided to use it! Uh, and then I realized I forgot it at home when I went to pay. Oh well, another excuse to eat out! There was an adorable American couple in the booth behind us also with two adorable daughters from China. It only increased my urge to adopt, but that's a whole nother story :-) We also went to Next House on the Left. NOT a good movie. Ok, it is but I think I don't like scary movies anymore...too gross and intense for me!

I had to use 20 some hours of vacation at work or I'd lose it so I also took off the last three days!! That's where the whole makeover began :-) I told Jeff a couple weeks ago that I need a makeover. Before we even got pregnant I kind of stopped shopping, hoping I would just be able to by maternity clothes soon. However, I wasn't really thinking because you can basically wear your normal clothes for the first half or so anyway. Well, then after our miscarriage I went into a little depression mode. I kind of quick caring, would get up, shower, through my hair in a pony tail and some clothes on and off to work I went. Well, I finally got out of my 'slump' and decided it was time for some change!! So I got my hair highlighted-but you can't even tell. :-( I didn't go dark enough so next time I'm going to have a TON more blonde put in. Then my sister, mom and dad and I went to the Mall of America for a little shopping spree!! It was a TON of fun!! We went to the new American Girl store and had ice cream at the Cafe. I also spend $300 and got.....2 skirts, 1 dress, 1 pair of sandals, pair of shorts, 2 cardigans, 4 shirts, and a pair of dress pants. Pretty freakin good, huh?! I even have $50 to still spend!! A nice start to my new 'me'. (Don't worry, I spend money on Jeff too :-) ) Jeff and I also decided to get a tanning package-just to start a nice base tan to keep up over the summer. And don't worry-we haven't started TTC yet so there's no concern of me frying my babies/eggs. lol It was $40 for a month unlimited so we're going to do that-then I can have a nice tan for my sister's wedding too! White skin and orange dresses don't go to well. Alright...now I'm babbling and hubbys waiting for me in bed. I'll try to keep up my blogging from now on :-) Goooooooooood night!

I'm glad you're feeling better - you're such a strong person for having gone through all you guys have! A little jealous of your shopping spree though!
