Our very productive weekend....

Our weekend was very productive..I could have got more done but I'm being a bum now and am going to spend the rest of the day hanging out with Jeff watching movies and eating the roast Jeff is making right now :-) Anway... on Friday I stayed at my moms house so Jeff and his friends could get some work done on the basement...ha. At work we always try to do something fun for holidays so on Friday, the 13th everyone can bring in a V-day box and exchange Valentines (yup, like in 3rd grade :-) ) Also, the V-day boxes get judged and if you win you could win $10-$25! So at my moms we worked on my box. It was pretty easy,basically because my mom helped me alot but low and behold...my Valentines box!! (there's a slit at the top where the valentines go :-)

On Saturday I worked on painting the entry way and finishing up the stairs. The stairs are done, we just need to go buy a carpet runner and install it. Then I need to paint the entryway walls and ceiling and probably put another coat on the trim. We ripped on the orange carpet and below is asbestos green tiles so we are going to do wood flooring in the entry and do wood stairs similiar to the ones leading upstairs to the master. Before: The side entry and a pic looking up to the entry. That is the scary staircase I have to somehow put a ladder on to paint...eak! (the walls are studded..someday we'll have drywall on them!)

After: I'm painting the entry a brownish gray..the color I painted on is not the color I'm using, I just wanted to get a visional on how much better it will look! Oh, and we're getting new exterior doors! Ok, so right now the entry doesn't look much better but you just wait! It will, promise!

Now for Jeff's progress... They put another coat of mudd on the drywall so no pics for that. However, I started ripping up the ceramic tile in the laundry room and Jeff/friends finished. They also started to make the frame for our corner door which will lead into the bath/laundry room.

Look what I did! It was hard work so I gave up on ripping the flooring.

Oh...and have no fear. The sink/toilet/mirror are getting replaced :-)

Oh, I also had my follow-up appointment for my surgery. I had labwork done to make sure my HCG level was dropping and I requested to have my thyroid checked, I'll get those results Monday. He also gave me a prescription for my provera, I have to start taking that monthly to induce my periods. I also got a prescription of my fert. drugs, Femara. He gave me a higher dose then I took last time! I was pretty excited, hopefully that means we'll get pregnant easily when we start trying again. That's all for now!
