Yes, we're having a beautiful, healthy wonderful little baby in August!!! We're ECSTATIC!!! I'm so glad to finally be able to post everything-I couldn't right away because we hadn't told a few people that read my blog. So, below are all the posts I've been writing and saving to post once everyone knew :-)
This is how we found out:
Monday I took at test (at 10dpo) which of course was way to early but I just had to!! It was digital HPT and was negative, of course. I remember sitting on the couch with Jeff and telling him, "Hunny, I'm pregnant-I just know!" haha..I was right!! On Wednesday I had a bad day at work and told Jeff I was taking a test when I got home. He didn't really say anything, basically because he thought I wasn't pregnant. Anyway, I took a cheapo +/- test and it came out with a tiny, faint + line. The minute Jeff walked in the door I showed him. He was soo mad and kept saying that the test wasn't positive. He was mad because we always said we would take it together, oops!! So, I call my BFF Shawna and she comes over, and of course she says she doesn't think it's positive either. HELLO! There was a definate line, but they were making me think differently. Shawna left and I told Jeff once I had to pee again I would take a digital HPT and we would hover together like we always said we would....
So about 30 minutes later I pee on a digital test and Jeff says he wants to watch it. So we sit on the couch together and Jeff is very 'downplaying' everything. He keeps saying, it's probably too early anyway and I don't it will turn positive, etc. Then he looks at me and says...ITS POSITIVE!!! We were both speachless at first and then we get all giddy. Jeff punches the air and says, YES! like a dork and then keeps saying holy cow. We both had no idea what to do with ourselves!!! We kept hugging and smiiling and it was the best moment every!! Jeff had basketball that night so then he goes, Well, I have to go to basketball. I'm like, your leaving me hear all alone?!?! I don't know what to do with myself! So we debate forever if we should tell my parents, etc and decide we'll tell them after I have my blood test at Dr. Cooper's office to determine I'm pregnant. (It was scheduled for Friday, but I got impatient! haha). I then call Shawna and Jeff wants to tell the whole world. He keeps saying, can I tell ___ or ___. NOT YET! I keep saying, lol. Instead we settle on Brad & Lisa and Jeff calls them.
The next day I called the doctor and they have me come in to do a HCG test, my test came back at 77 which meant I was pregnant. I had another on Saturday which was 144 (had to be above 121 to mean my baby was growing). We told my parents Thursday night, the day after we found out. We went shopping on Thursday night and picked up two outfits that say Grandma/Grandpa stuff and we went to my parents for dinner. I handed my mom the shopping bag and said, here- I got ya something. She opens it and goes, Aw, it's cute. Then goes...WAIT-are you really pregnant?? lol. My little sister called my older sister and when my dad walked in the door I said, Hey Grandpa. He didn't get it so I gave him the baby shirt. He's very excited, he keeps telling me to keep his grandbaby safe :-)
Jeff called his mom on the way home for my parents, He said...So you ready to be a grandma again??? I think she's pretty excited too. Scott asked if the mailman is cute, haha!
Jeff told way to many people than he was supposed to but oh well!! He's just excited :-) I decided to keep it a secret to a few friends and send them Christmas cards that say, We're having a baby!!
Anyway- that's the super short version of the last couple weeks. We're thankful we have a healthy baby and are so glad our prayers were answered!! (Jeff and I prayed for a BFP by Christmas!!) The Lord has blessed us greatly and we continue to pray for our healthy little baby p!
