The best day of our lives....

Jeff and I decided that today was, hands down, the best day of our lives!!! We saw and heard our healthy little babies heartbeat!!!!!! It was beating at 115bpm, amazing!! S/he's measuring a little small (about a week behind) but the Doctor isn't too concerned yet :-) We have another u/s on the 13th and then we meet with our OB, Dr. Mintzer on the 20th!!

When we got to the doctor's office I thought I was going to throw up from nerves, and so did Jeff. We said a little prayer in the room before our tech game in. We had our 'lucky' ultrasound tech, Jolie though!! I couldn't look at first, just held Jeff's hand looking at the ceiling, but finally I looked and there was our little blob. She's measured it and then showed us the tiny little heart beating. It was truly amazing!! My cousin Jack and boss Kathy both said it's a girl after they saw the pictures, haha! We'll see :-)

The 'bubble' is the ylk sac which supports the baby until the placenta develops around it. The long gray thing is our pea pod!! (I think it looks like a duck, maybe we should rename it!) Oh, and our baby more than doubled in size since our last ultrasound, one week ago today!

We're sending our Christmas cards to annouce it that we're pregnant to everyone who doesn't know yet!!! (Mostly Jeff's family and a few friends ;-) )
