My last pregnancy post...

Not because I'm anywhere near labor, but because I'll probably be too lazy to post again until baby girl is here :-)

I thought I'd update on how the last few weeks have been! Up until Monday, I was feeling great. I have been seeing my chiropractor who specializes in prenatal care and she's been a God-send. I was having issues with my lower back, a dislocated rib and insane round ligament pain (after baby dropped). Honestly, I think I would have been miserable if I hadn't started seeing Dr. Laura! She's been great and has made me feel so much better. I still have the occasional aches & pains, but have been so lucky to feel so great these last few weeks. Since Monday I've been cranky, moody, emotional and uncomfortable! Totally not like me and I don't like it! I think I've just hit 'the wall' and am ready for this little peanut to get here!

Otherwise, this pregnancy has been uneventful. My belly button popped out all the way a few weeks ago, something that never happened when I was pregnant with G! I also weigh the exact same as I did when I was full term with Gianna...but still a number on the scale I hope to not see again for quite some time! I did find two tiny stretch marks on my belly...my first ones :-( Thankfully, they are only about an inch each but still a bit depressing. G and I lather our bellies up each morning with coconut oil (yes, even G has to use it! lol).

I've been trying to keep myself busy the last few weeks...deep cleaning my house, Christmas present shopping, wrapping presents and tonight we are even decorating for Christmas! Gianna is very excited to put up her little tree in her bedroom after nap today :-)

Progress has been a bit slower this time around than I was with G. From about 36-38 weeks I was between 1-2 cm, 50% effaced and -2 station. I had my OB (38week) appt today and I'm almost 3 cm, 60/70% effaced and -1 station...so COME ON BABY! We are all SO ready to meet you!

Gianna is very excited to hold her baby sister. We bought a bunch of sanitizer last weekend and she likes to tell everyone that comes over that when baby is here, they have to sanitize before touching her! lol. (Yes, I will be that mom who insists on everyone washing or sanitizing before touching or holding our little girl. I'm just too paranoid about her being sick during the flu season...or ever!)

Gianna claims she's going to change diapers, feed sister and hold her. It will be interesting to see if she's jealous or just as loving to baby sister when she finally makes her arrival :-)

I have a lot of anxiety about leaving Gianna while we are in the hospital. I know she will be in great hands but I'm going to miss her like crazy. She's never really spent a lot of time away from Jeff or I in a long time so I think it will be hard on her (and me!). I just have to remind myself that it's just 2-3 days and then we'll all be back together again!

Well...that was an interesting, rambly post. I guess I just wanted to get my thoughts down on 'paper'...

I'll leave you with some exciting bump pics!

37 weeks...Me now vs G belly bump

36 weeks
And I couldn't go without one of G! (And her friend Jackson) on picture day at preschool!
