I always said I could never leave G to go on a vacation with just Jeff and I...but now that the opportunity has presented itself, I'm going to do it..... Jeff has a conference for work in Las Vegas in March. He is allowed to bring a guest...which means we get to stay in a suite at the Venetian for free. All I have to pay for is a plane ticket; purchased through Allegiant Air which is only $340. I couldn't say no. We even decided to stay an extra night for some 'us' time. My mom is watching Gianna 1 night and 1 day, Jeff's mom will be watching G 2 nights and 2 days. That means 3 nights and 3 days away from my baby who is attached to my hip. Jeff works a lot which means we have a lot of Gianna and mommy time....which equals a baby who thinks I'm the greatest thing on earth. Not that I can complain, I think she is one of the greatest things on Earth. Needless to say, I have just a little bit of anxiety about leaving her. I worry she'll miss me and cry the whole time I'm gone. I worry she will forget me. Or worse, think I left her forever. I worry my plane will crash and she'll be left parent-less. Yes...I am crazy. I try to remind myself that Gianna will forget I left her after a few days back and I will never forget the time Jeff and I had together. I asked some friends for some advice. One of the things they said was to get Gianna a fun new toy that could keep her busy while we are gone. I love that idea but what the heck do I buy a little girl that has everything?! She loves dollies and animals and tea parties. Any ideas? Back to happy thoughts....what are some good things for Jeff and I to do in Vegas? We are definitely doing a Gondola ride...but that's my only plan so far. Plus romantic dinners and Jacuzzi tubs... Two mornings Jeff will be doing business from 8-12 so I need some stuff to keep me busy. I'm thinking the first morning I'll get a massage (any good recs on that?!) and the next morning I'll do some shopping. If you've been to Vegas or left your little one....I'd love some advice, happy thoughts, good vibes ;-) Oh and lastly...my return button doesn't work so I'm sorry for the lack of paragraphs! And the rambles...I tend to do that a lot...

You will love Vegas! Be sure to go to Mandalay Bay - they have an awesome aquarium and a dolphin show. It's amazing! If you're looking for a toy for Giana go to the MGM casino. Not only do they have actual lions there, but in their gift shop they have stuffed pet lions that roar. Too cute! Yes, I confess that I actually bought one for myself.
Also, you might want to look into seeing a show. We saw Mack the Magician. He was good. We also saw Cirque du soliel. Very expensive, but they were fabulous!
