G is potty trained...

I still have a hard time grasping the thought that my 21 month old is potty trained. 

She did it all by herself, with little encouragement from me. 

As you may remember Gianna started becoming interested in the potty around 19

months. She would sit on it and sometimes even pee in it, but I didn't really think 

she was ready. I figured she just wanted to copy Jackson and Sophia. Plus we

traveled for the holidays and then the flu struck our home, so needless to say I didn't

really push anything.  

Two weeks ago Gianna started to take off her diaper every time she peed. I finally

decided it was time to try potty training out. One Sunday I let her run around in undies

(or naked) all day. Every time she peed we would sit her on her little potty chair.

(Our potty is just the simple Baby Bjorn one). Yes, I had pee to clean off our 

hard wood floor but it wasn't that big of deal to me. On Monday Gianna peed 

in her potty all by herself....and that was it. We gave her her 'num nums' 

(a few m&m's) every time she peed. We also congratulated her like crazy..lots of 

"GOOD JOB BABY" or high fives and claps. She loved the praise.  

From then on Gianna will run around in undies

or naked...and if I'm lucky I'll get pants on her. There have been a couple times that G 

will forget to pull down her undies. Once she even forgot to pull down her undies when she pooped 

in the potty...that was interesting. We are still working on pottying in public. She is ok if there is a 

little potty, but most places don't have those. She's getting better day by day, but we still have her wear pull-ups when we go anywhere. The other day we were at Goodwill (did you know I have an 

obsession with that store?! Because I do...) She said she had to go potty so we ran to the

bathroom. She sat on the toilet but wouldn't go. I told her I would give her a couple

 m&m's if she went potty like a big girl, and that's all it took! She peed in the big potty! 

I'm so proud of her. She's doing awesome. 

When she pees in the potty now she'll jump up and say to herself, "Good job baby!" 

She loves to dump it in the toilet and flush it too. 

Here's the problem I'm having...her pants no longer fit without a diaper!

She has two pairs of pants...jeggings and a pair of Gap jeans. None of her 

sweats fit. She's such a peanut, I think I may have to make some sweatpants

for her, or take in the elastic.

But I won't complain. I'm so proud of her!!
