First trip to the dentist!

Gianna had her first (unexpected!) trip to the dentist!

Every Monday we go to Mommy&Me Music. Gianna (and Jackson) love it. 

Yesterday we were at music and Gianna fell. She cried really hard but the fall

didn't seem bad at all. Then she pulled her fingers out of her mouth and I saw blood.

Oh boy. I checked her mouth and noticed her frenulum was in between her two front teeth.

Yes, kind of hard to image and understand. I thought once we got home we could try to 

pull it out, but after a few phone calls and trials we headed to the dentist.

They ended up removing her frenulum, which was stuck in the little gap between 

her two front teeth. The procedure was 'laser surgery'. Honestly, before and 

after wasn't bad. During however, was terrible. Gianna cried alot, even though she

was completely numbed. At one pointed she was crying for daddy and her 

binky which broke.my.heart. I started crying a bit too then. 

After the procedure was done and she got some snuggles and her binky she was ok.  She got a tooth brush and got to pick out a stuffed animal for being so good :-)

We also stopped by Wendy's for a chocolate shake since they 

said only liquids for a few hours. I got myself a fry (love their new sea salt fries!)

for surviving the whole trip. Gianna could have cared less about her shake and 

stole my fries! Little stinker ;-)

She was actually pretty hyper after her appointment. She just ran

around the house. For awhile she threw things down the laundry shoot 

(a new fun game). I don't know how many times she came up to me and 

said, "Uh Oh momma! Bye bye duck!" Which means of course,

go get my duck. I threw him down the laundry shoot!

Right now, she's a bit fussy when her motrin wears off and

her lip is a bit puffy. Otherwise, she's doing really well!

Wait-I forgot to tell you the best part!! Dr.W said Gianna has

super healthy teeth! As you know, she loves to brush her teeth and 

he said he could really tell! He complimented her quite a few times

about it! YAH!
