Gianna and I have both been sick and this afternoon she woke up grumpy from her afternoon nap. Finally around 5:45 she climbed into my lap on the couch and while Jeff watch The Master's on the big screen, G and I watched 'Counting with Elmo' on the laptop-for 45 minutes! If you have ever met my G in person, you know that is not like her. She's a wiggly, non-stop babe! I enjoyed every minute of cuddle time.
For some reason this pic on my phone turned out grained-yuck! She's still adorable as ever though!
My good ol' cold meds started kicking in after I put G to bed and I felt like sewing. In about 45 minutes I whipped up this adorable skirt, tutorial compliments of Sun Scholars. Mine looks a bit different because I made a 12 month size (approx 30"x9") so my strips where much bigger. All in all-I think it turned out pretty cute! (I did cut the fabric on the bias, so it will fray just the perfect amount when I wash it)
I also picked up a cheap tee and added some flower embellishments. I purchased Fabric Glue the other day at Hobby Lobby and it's awesome! I used the glue to attach the flowers, much easier than sewing on each one (and the glue doesn't come off in the wash!)
Overall, the outfit cost me about $3.50 because I used scrap fabric and a clearance tee! Perfect outfit for spring!
*And I promise-a pic of G wearing her new outfit coming soon! (here it is-not the best tho!)
