Dirt is GOOD!

She hates the grass on her feet!!

A day at the zoo!

Oh, my, goodness-my baby girl will be a YEAR OLD in less than a month. Wow.
With that said, she is getting more fun by the day. I love this stage-so much better than the infant stage. G is learning so much every.single.day-it amazes me. She understands almost everything we say, which to me, is incredible.
She says mom, dad, kitty and ball (just learned ball a few days ago). She is signing more, all done, eat and milk. We are working on alot of signs right now. Especially food signs-she is always asking for more but it's so hard to figure out what she wants. Usually she'll stare towards the item she wants, which is a bit helpful ;-)
She still isn't walking...she CAN take steps but refuses too. I was really hoping she'd be walking by 1 year! We got her some Wee Squeak shoes (that squeak when she walks!) and she loves to wear them. Hopefully it will encourage her to walk more. :-) Even though she can't walk-she can climb a whole flight of stairs in less than 60 seconds! She.is.fast!
G loves to wave at everyone and anyone. Usually it takes us awhile to get through the store because people think she's waving only for them-so they have to stop and say hi. Haha. She loves the attention though! She also loves to clap, dance and do 'so big!'.
I'm getting more cuddle time lately too! I don't know what's changed but in the last week or so she's gotten more cuddly. When she's tired or just woke up she will just sit on my lap and cuddle for awhile. I'm loving the cuddle time-usually she's too busy to sit still :-)
Sleep....well-we're still working on that. She's doing better though! Usually every other night she'll sleep 11hrs straight but then the next night she'll wake up once. We're getting there though! I just can't refuse her the bottle or make her CIO at night, I'm a wussy. Oh well-she'll grow out of it, right ;-)
Lastly....I'm dreading taking away her bottle. She loves to drink from her sippy but only water. I think we'll have to remove the bottles, cold turkey, at one year. Yikes! I'm really nervous for that. I'm really ready to be done with bottles-but not ready for the fight! We'll see how it goes.
G is getting big and she's a BLAST! She is so social and loves all our playdates! I can't wait to watch her grow this summer, I know it's going to be a great one!
